Outdoor Space You Can Actually Use
Hardscaping is the built part of your yard the patios, paths, driveways, and edges that don’t need watering to look good. In DFW, that stuff takes a beating: clay soil that swells and shrinks with every rain, summers that cook everything, and downpours that have to drain somewhere. Get the groundwork right and it holds up for years, even when the lawn goes dormant and brown. Get it wrong and it cracks and shifts within a season or two.
What We Build
1. Patios (brick, stone, flagstone, or concrete).
A flat, usable spot for the grill, the chairs, or just somewhere to stand that isn’t grass. We’ll talk through materials too concrete runs hot underfoot in
July, pavers sit in the middle, and flagstone gives you that natural, no-two-pieces-alike look so it fits how you actually use the space.
2. Walkways and pathways.
Pavers, concrete, or gravel to connect the parts of your yard. We’ve got a whole page on these see the Walkways page for the full rundown.
3. Driveway paving.
Concrete or interlocking pavers, built for DFW soil movement and the daily weight of pulling in and out.
4. Fire pits.
Wood-burning fire features made for the cooler months the kind of thing that makes a fall evening in the backyard actually worth sitting outside for.
5. Pergolas.
A bit of shade over your patio or seating area which, come a Texas August, is less a nice-to-have and more a survival tool. Gives you a reason to be outside when the sun’s doing its worst.
6. Outdoor kitchens.
A built-in spot to cook, prep, and hang out counters, storage, and room for the grill so you’re not running back and forth to the house every five minutes.
7. Garden borders and edging.
Stone or metal edges that define your beds and keep mulch and soil where they belong, instead of washing across the lawn every time it storms.
How We Plan It
No fancy software, no formal renderings. You bring us an idea a rough sketch, a photo you saved, or just a general sense of what you want and we walk the space with you and figure it out on site. It’s personal, it’s practical, and it means the plan actually fits your yard instead of some template.
