A Path That Looks Good
and Actually Holds Up.
TerraTop builds walkways from scratch — pavers, concrete, or gravel — designed to work with your yard, not against it. In DFW, the clay soil shifts with every wet-dry cycle, and poor drainage makes things worse fast. Getting the base right from the start is what keeps a walkway looking good season after season.
Materials
1. Pavers
Durable and versatile pavers come in a range of styles and hold up well in Texas heat without getting brutal underfoot. If the soil shifts, individual pavers can be reset instead of redoing the whole thing.
2. Concrete
Solid, low-maintenance, and great for clean modern looks. Just know it gets hot in Texas summers, so placement and exposure are worth thinking about before you commit.
3. Gravel
Water drains right through it, which is a real advantage on DFW clay. It stays cooler underfoot than concrete and costs less just plan on occasional raking to keep it looking sharp.
